I Remember a Dream

So I finally remember one of my dreams. I know if I sleep at least 6 - 8 hours a night I dream, but sometimes I forget them once I wake up. One time I woke up and remembered the dream and I was like, "Ah I remember, I won't forget this one." Well guess what, I stayed in bed for a couple of more minutes and by the time I got up, well I forgot it. Anyhow, the point is that I didn't forget the one from last night.

I'm not sure if I was studyin abroad or what, but I wasn't at Trinity anymore... it was some other university, but I don't know where. My new room was small and it was kind of just like blah. I remember that I also had a new roommate who I didn't like much for some reason, we kept our space. For some reason or another, this was during next semester because I remember telling my roommate of now that he better enjoy the room to himself, but every once in awhile I would talk to him from this new university I was at. So yeah, basically, that was the dream. Why would I have had it last night? I'm not too sure, I'm still working on what it means.

More Freezing...

Well it's official, most of the city has been shut down. A lot of the major roads throughout the city have been closed and there has been over 100 accidents reported. They're advising that everyone stay home and don't go out at all. Almost every major road, including the multiple interstates, have been closed. Winds have increased in speed up to 30 mph or so and the wind chill factor has dropped the temperature below 0.

I was lucky for not going out today... I really thank one person for that... if it wasn't for her, I would have probably gone out and I would be out there right now.

I hope the best for everybody out there right now.

Snow Snow Snow Freeways Closed

So yes I was productive today, I exercised for an hour. Then for the rest of the day, I didn't do much :) Although I did talk to one of my favorite persons in the world. There isn't that many people that I can talk to for hours and hours and... well keep talking to.

Also today it's been snowing for most of the day. In the past 25 years, it has only snowed 8 times here in El Paso, but its been awhile since it has snowed this much. I'm not talking about feet of snow, just a couple if not several inches :) But the city has closed the interstate because of too many accidents. I guess it's a good thing that I didn't leave today. Everything happens for a reason right? Maybe I decided to stay in and chat all day for a reason.

Well hopefully tomorrow morning the snow will still be here so I can take a couple of pictures. I can already visualize the best christmas photo...

Relaxing... Day... I guess

Well I didn't do much today except surf the internet, paid some bills, transfered some money, and visited some friends.

Today I finally got my debit card, it was FedEx'ed to me here in El Paso because of a long story... so I guess i"ll start now. Before I left San Antonio I went to the bank to deposit a check. Well as it turned out I was there 5 minutes after they closed the lobby, so I decided to go through the drive-thru... well guess what, they close at the same time as the lobby. So I looked around and asked the security guard there at the drive-thru (I was on foot because I was too lazy to go back to my car) where I could just deposit my check; so he points me towards an ATM there. I go up to the ATM and put in my card. Keep in mind this is my first time doing a deposit at an ATM. So then I notice that I have to fill out some deposit slip, so I start filling it out. After awhile, I'm ready to slide my check into the machine, well I noticed that the screen on the ATM was back to normal but it didnt give me my card back. So I push cancel and a bunch of buttons, still no card back. The security card noticed I was having trouble and asked me if I needed any help, I told him what happened. His guess was that the machine ate my card and to probably cal the 1-800 number, so I did. The lady on the phone told me, turns out her favorite word was unfortunately, "Unfortunately, the machine "captured" your card and we can't retrieve it. And unfortunately the lobby is closed till Monday" so I was like, "oh okay, well Im flying out on Monday so I can pick it up then..." "Well unfortunately, once the machine captures your card, it's automatically destroyed" "Oh okay, well see this is the thing, I fly out Monday" "Well we can FedEx you a new card at your traveling location" so yeah, that's how we come to today :) a simple deposit turned, well complicated.

Later on in the day I went to my friends house and ate some dinner and watched some TV. Then I talked to my favorite person in the world on the phone then later on in the night on the internet... and that's how my day went. Heh tomorrow I gotta do something productive, maybe exercise :)

I Look Asian

So today, well actually yesterday, I also got the pack of photos that I had developed from digital pictures and mailed to me here in El Paso. The pack of photos included a bunch that Ida and I took in San Antonio and Corpus Christi. I do miss her a lot, today I found myself hugging a pillow :) long story... Anyways, my friends and family got a chance to take a look at the photos. It was interesting, for some reason or another they all found a similarity between Ida and I. Some even said I look a bit asian in some of the photos... I was like "#$#@????", yes confused and perplexed. So that was an interesting twist of the day. Well now that I think about it, my grandmother side of the family does have a small, very small family trace that's Chinese... so who knows.

Can anyone say Hong Kong :)

Out to the Movies

Tonight I saw the movie Oceans Twelve. Against the advice of my uncle and the lady who sold me the movie ticket, I went to go see it. The movies wasn't bad, but neither was it good. I really enjoyed the first one, Oceans Eleven, much much better. What was more interesting though is that I went with my ex-girlfriend's sister. Unlike my previous relationships, the one that involved this ex-gf ended in a bad way. From what I hear, my ex's family has really lost hope on her or something along those lines, but I'm not exactly sure what's going on with that. All I know is that her family hasn't mentioned her name. So who knows what this all means... I just keep watching my back in hopes that I'm not falling into a trap or something like that.

Gettting Online...

Oh the insanity of using dialup internet after being spoiled with high speed for a whole year... so yeah, while I'm here in El Paso I'll have to be using dial up... its so slow, oh well.

I was using NetZero internet for free dial up, but it only gives 10 hours for free. By my second night, I had used a total of 5 hours talking to Ida :) So I knew I had to figure out another method, a free one of course :) So then I remembered that RoadRunner offers free dialup access to its subscribers, which my uncle is. After about an hour, because he was having some account problems, I finally managed to get online without any type of limitations. Ah it feels good, but the slow speed is still like heh.

Oh well... I can't believe it's 4pm already, where did the day go...

Oh and on a side note, I noticed the following on Ida's online journal:
Missed the alarm last night...or it didn't ring at all?
Anyways
Saw you online when I wake up
Though I can only talk to you for a couple of minutes
Well...that's a bonus already
Could she be talking about me? Makes me wonder who the "you" was :)

Trippy Dream

Well this actually happened several nights ago, but I didn't have a blog then, so I'm writing it now. Anyways, I had this really really trippy dream. There was a group of people and we were all trying to tip over this huge fence for some reason. It was in the middle of the night with semi-foggy skies and it had been raining. The ground was all muddy, we were next to some factories or something. So we were able to knock over the fence and then we all went inside this RV that was parked nearby. While inside the RV we noticed a security officer, I know it wasn't a police officer since one of the guys in my dream made fun of the whole security guard thing. Before we knew it, the fence was back up and looked brand new like nothing had happened.

Weird dream? Yes I know. Now to find out what the fence means, the group of guys, and the RV. Anyone good at analyzing dreams?

Stuff that happened before... El Paso Landing

So here is what happens... I wake up in the morning getting ready to go to El Paso, TX to visit family and friends. But before I leave San Antonio I have to do some things as pay my tuition bill... yes the hit is still hurting... mailing some stuff, buying some stuff, and just doing some stuff. So I'm leaving at 2pm in the day, I figure ill get to the airport at 1pm, giving me an hour. Well running a bit late, but make it to the airport at 1:15pm. I'm standing in line trying to see how I can get through it a bit quicker, I look over at those self-check in things. Well I would have been in business if I hadn't gotten my credit card "captured" by the ATM machine on Satuday. Oh well, so I stay in line. While in line I call my mom to let her know that I'm at the airport about to fly out and she mentions, "Okay, so youll be here at 2pm?" Now I know that El Paso is one hour behind San Antonio, but i hits me... the flight is not an one hour flight, it's more than that... oh oh. So I'm in the middle of the line and I ask one of the customer service ladies near the line at what time the El Paso flight left since I couldnt see the times from where I was and there was no way I was going to lose my place in line. She looks at me and just says, "I don't know, ask when you et to the counter." and I was like, "well I'm not sure when it leaves and I cant see the screen, does it leave at 1:45pm?" and she responds, "I dont know, you're just going to have to wait and ask when you get up there." Now this got to my nerves... so anyhow I finally make it up to the counter at 1:21pm and ask when my flight leaves since i might be running a little bit late. The lady tells me that I just missed the flight, it was a 1:30pm flight. I look at my time (Sprint cell phone) and I saw I had 7 minutes, the airport was empty so I knew I could make it... so I ask her, "It's still 7 minutes to take off, is there any way I can make it?" and she was just like, "Nope, no way the plane is already gone, it's not here... not possible." Now I've heard of planes leaving late, but leaving 10 minutes early? As I was leaving to turn in my bag to security I heard the guy next to her tell her, "You know the flight was still here when he came up..." and she pointed to some label on the counter that they weren't suppose to do something or something. Anyways, I don't appreciate the lie about the plane not being there, she just should have told me something along the lines of, "Due to national security, I can't let you on the flight with only 10 minutes left" or something like that... heh, and what made it worse was if that first lady had checked the time for me, I could have asked the rest of the people in the line if I could go through, I bet they would have said yes. Heh so I miss my flight and had to wait two and a half hours for my next one.

The flight was completely packed... I always look for those that I think would be interesting to sit next to and possible talk to during the flight. Well I didnt get that chance, the plane filled up faster than I expected. So during take-off, as usual, I fall asleep... some time in the middle of the flight I wake up and pop up my 15in screen laptop and start watching the movie Fight-Club. Well the guy next to me seemed to love the movie and asked me if i could plug in a second set of headphones into my laptop, I asked him if he had a splitter... he said no, so I said no. He seemed like a nice though. So anyways I kept watching the movie, not sure if it was a good movie to watch on a plane... there's that one scene with that mid-air plane explosion, oh and can't forget about the sex scenes. On a side note, I've never seen so many kids on one flight. Most of the time when there's a baby or two, they'll fall asleep in mid-air, well not these.... talk about WAAAAAAAA all the way. Good thing i had my headphones, turned up that volume all the way. The high volume made those sex scenes a bit awkward though.

First Entry

So after hours and hours of trying to decide what would be the best blogger / journal entry thingie, I settled with blogger.com. This is my first post and just checking out how all this works and such, seems pretty cool so far. It'll be my first, sort of... I had another one but it only had one post and I never really dedicated myself to it, so it doesn't count...

:)
